Last week we had a staff breakfast in the office. We called the Brooklyn Bagel Company to deliver bagels, cream cheese and lox – a typical New York City breakfast. When the food arrived, we discovered that they had come up with the most innovative way to present the capers on the lox platter: they had put them in a hollowed-out lemon.
It was really a great idea, so I decided I had to share it with you.

gorgeous idea! I'm envisioning outdoor dining in warmer months!
As the saying goes....."when life hands you lemons make lemonade" well go one step further and make a lemon flavored mouse dessert and put it in the lemon shells. Cut a hole in the center of the piece you cut off the top and use that as the base to hold the shell with the dessert.
